Designed with security and privacy in mind, Our Health Data Science team enables Apple’s vision by building Data, AI & ML platforms to funnel the health research for millions of participants sharing their data with Apple. This platform enables medical researchers, data scientists, iPhone/Watch sensor teams, health product teams & more to build that next big thing to surprise, delight and inspire our customers.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Excellent programming skills in at least one of Java, Scala or Python
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and platform services
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly within the team
  • Experience with Spark, data warehousing & database systems


We are seeking an energetic and self-driven software engineer to help design, implement, and deliver a highly scalable & secure data platform. As a member of our fast-paced group in Apple Health, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to work cross functionally with various stake holders. You will be building on top of existing secure environments, which provide the underlying infrastructure; but your work will directly influence its evolution. In addition to using technical knowledge to drive features and improvements, you must be comfortable with rapidly evolving requirements, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Success depends on working with cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) preferred. BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
