Apple is looking for a world-class OLED Display Process Engineer to develop new panel processes and equipment for Apple products by closely working with external display partners and internal engineering teams. We work at a fast pace and require everyone to be highly ambitious. A successful candidate needs to be a flexible thinker and be able to problem solve outside of their respective technical area.

Key Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience and consistent record in flat panel industry, advanced process development, associated equipment, process control or mass production experience
  • Ability to perform process DOEs and failure analysis for process optimization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The willingness and ability for up to 30% travel in Asia
  • Preferred Qualifications (Qualified candidates shall have at least one of following specialties):
  • Thin film deposition process development and characterization
  • OLED evaporation process experience
  • OLED or thin film evaporation equipment design, development, bring-up and/or optimization
  • OLED device architecture design and optimization
  • Large Qty data analysis capability
  • Failure analysis with AMOLED products and process DOE experience
  • Statistical process control and/or yield improvement experience in mass production environment

Description

Lead engineering activities on advanced process technologies for OLED display applications. Analyze the trade-offs between design, process, performance and implementation feasibility. Work closely with multi-functional teams in Cupertino and external display partners in Asia to develop future display technologies and bring-up processes for new panel products Analyze root cause for failure modes with structured approach and provide corrective actions, Design of Experiments (DOE) to internal teams and external partners Work closely with internal and external partners in yield enhancement and process improvement

Education & Experience

PhD degree in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Material, Optics Engineering with 3+ years experience or Bachelor/MS degree in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Material, Optics Engineering with 5+ years experience
