With Apple News and Search Ads, advertisers and publishers get access to the most engaged consumers in the market. We’re looking for an extraordinary Product Manager to join our Search Ads business. Launched in 2016, Search Ads is an easy, efficient and fast-growing platform for app discovery. With over 65% of all app downloads resulting directly from a search in the App Store, Search Ads is quickly becoming the app promotion platform of choice for iOS developers. Are you interested in making a difference in how digital advertising will work in a privacy-centric world? We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, and charismatic product manager to focus on next generation advertising experiences for Apple users. Reporting to a Sr. Product Manager, you will be a product owner focused on designing and delivering innovative advertising experiences to user devices. You will be involved in product design, development, and the launch of new products that allow customers to discover new products and services within the Apple ecosystem. You’ll apply your judgement and customer insights to help infuse ideas for groundbreaking features into our product-development process.

Key Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of product management experience with marketing/personalization products, experience in advertising in the iOS ecosystem a plus
  • Deep understanding of iOS application development, familiarity with XCode and Apple libraries
  • Track record of delivering novel consumer experiences that are highly engaging or viral
  • Built user interfaces / UX that capitalizes on personalization and recommendation systems


WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU Envision and design advertising experiences for Apple users that respect privacy choices made by the consumer. Be passionately focused on the end user experience. Create personalized experiences that help users discover products and services that created an engaged relationship with content providers Developing new product business cases, market and competitive analysis, product requirements documentation, and high-level release and go-to-market plans Define product features/enhancements and communicate requirements to UX design and engineering teams via clearly written requirements documents, diagrams, and concise verbal communication Act as product owner for features and enhancements for your partner engineering teams. Set up product backlogs and ensure priorities align with Ad Platforms goals. Work closely with Engineers to enable them to identify the critical path, prioritize and execute upon requirements. Design and build UI / UX deployed to end user devices that use algorithmically-derived personalization and recommendation capabilities. Work with creative and engineering teams to balance technical capabilities vs. front-end execution. Serve as a resource for internal team that have product questions, feature requests, and other product related needs Coordinate with other product managers to integrate development timelines (including customer interfaces, algorithms and data platform) Develop clear user personas and detailed use cases to help solidify product definition. HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED You have expert knowledge of competitor products and strategy and can identify and analyze their possible impact on Apple's product or marketing strategy, and make recommendations as needed. You have strong consumer product instincts and intuitively understand why product ideas will succeed You have mastered leading people and projects directly and indirectly You excel at leading through influence, debate, and telling compelling stories. Are self-aware and savvy in tailoring your message to your audience as well as delivering it in a clear, concise, and confident manner. You are extraordinary at building presentations and documents and presenting them at all levels of the organization. Deeply value attention-to-detail and believe that an extraordinary product is the sum of an inordinate number of small, thoughtful decisions. Proficient with the key players, technologies, capabilities, and competitors of Apple services. Able to use data and insights to align people on which problems to prioritize and tackle in order to deliver what’s best for customers. Have comfort with working in situations where there is ambiguity and thrive in finding solutions on your own or with peers.
