We are seeking an Operations Analyst for our Content Security team who can thrive in a fast-paced environment where both individual drive and team collaboration are the keys to success. This role will support Apple TV+ and other original content divisions in helping secure the creation, management, and delivery of our original content & related confidential information. This is a broad role, requiring an individual with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to engage cross-functionally with various production and studio business units. This is a multifaceted hands-on role that will document internal and external workflows, will assess and advise on potential operational and technology related risks to content assets, and will support both short and long term content security goals. This role will partner with the larger Apple Information Security organization as well as Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) and Global Security to create, implement, and audit content security policies, and will engage and support Apple TV+ business units and their needs.

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years in film/tv production and content security, security technologies, or compliance
  • 5+ years experience successfully leading technical projects from inception through completion, leveraging a variety of project management skills and methodologies
  • Knowledge of production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, etc), and their respective security implications and requirements
  • Skilled at maintaining relationships with production and studio personnel across multiple divisions, including Creative, Production, Post-Production, Localization, Marketing, etc.
  • Expertise in risk management methodologies and practices
  • Knowledgeable of unique risks and content security complexities in various geographies
  • Finds creative, simple solutions to complex problems and intrinsically curious about emerging trends in information management, information governance, and/or information security processes and technologies
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Driven to automate and improve security processes and applications
  • Willingness to think creatively to bring creative solutions to complex situations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills; Excellent orientation to both the details and the bigger picture

You will work as part of the embedded Apple Information Security team (Content Security) helping to support day-to-day security efforts within Apple TV+ and other Apple original content businesses, while delivering the overall strategies and services of Information Security. - Ensure content security Policy Management and Content Workflow Assessment programs support the needs of the business units - Interact with internal business units, production teams, and outside vendors to document and secure production and post production workflows and ensure that security best practices are appropriately applied to these complex and dynamic environments - Ensure that observed content handling risks, incidents, and exception requests are documented in the Risk Register - Develop new policies and procedures as needed while ensuring timely updates and governance and exception process of existing policy documents - Ensure that Content Security policies and security guidelines are easily accessible for reference by business units and are communicated to the necessary partners - Lead expectations of business units regarding the exposure and handling of pre-release assets and confidential information, mediate and negotiate with internal partners and external customers to resolve complex issues around Content Security - Draft and maintain reports and partner updates, including information around production shoot dates, release dates, source piracy dates, key performance indicators, and/or risks to ensure alignment and obtain support as necessary - Operationalize and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of content security initiatives - Identify, build, and maintain relationships with program partners and key operational contacts to measure the effectiveness of existing services and find opportunities to improve them - Partner with IS&T and other security teams on projects to secure content and support the business - Coordinate and execute on other content security efforts as needed - Proactive industry research to maintain knowledge of current and evolving technologies in the production and distribution environment that may impact current business, technology or projects - Remain well-versed in standard industry workflows for on-set production, post production, marketing, distribution, and in-home distribution

Education & Experience

- B.S. or Equivalent Degree - Vendor/studio/entertainment company experience, ideating in the content security space - PMP, CISM, CISSP, CISA, CPP, or CRISC certifications are a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Position will reside in Culver City, California and will require up to 10% travel (domestic & international); longer periods may necessitated by business need and demand.
  • - Familiarity with MPA, TPN, and other M&E industry working groups is a plus
  • - Knowledge of production and post-production workflows
  • - Knowledge of studio IT systems, including production and post-production environments
  • - 3+ years experience successfully managing content security services in a television or theatrical production environment preferred
  • - Experience working with corporate Information Security teams is a plus
  • - Excellent computer skills, including an advanced proficiency in Excel
