As an Early Engagement Engineer on the Operations Product Development team, you will be responsible for understanding existing and emerging technologies in consumer electronics products from a cost, supply chain, technical and environmental perspective and use this knowledge to drive early architecture conversations for future Apple product. You will use competitive analysis to drive data focused conversations with multiple cross-functional teams to understand risks and opportunities in design decisions and you will need to challenge generally accepted design and feature rules, In addition, you will develop a comprehensive way to track these findings over time and serve as a “one stop shop” to advise the development teams on operational cost and supply chain. Establishing relationships with engineering and procurement teams will be crucial to derive accurate and ambitious cost assumptions as well as tests to assess key performance metrics.

Education & Experience

BA/BS, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline as a plus Masters degree or MBA is a plus
