The Current Programming Executive will handle the day-to-day management on several current series for Apple. You will report to the Head of Current Programming and Unscripted Development.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years TV development, current or related industry experience preferably in the documentary space
  • Experience in episodic current or development and working in a studio and/or network environment
  • Strong network with agents, managers, writers, producers and directors
  • Strong ability to manage upwards and downwards
  • Effective use of time management and multi-tasking
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building ability
  • A self-starter, who is assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • You will provide creative direction independently and be relied upon to work with external partners
  • You demonstrate good social skills and present in a polished manner
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, innovative, high energy environment
  • Phenomenal teammate who works well with internal and external teams
  • You have basic knowledge of web technology


- Provide notes on story areas, outlines and scripts and rough cuts for the shows he/she is responsible for - Approve episodic directors and guest cast - Provide notes on story, outline and script for projects in development - Staff our writers and approve key above and below-the-line personnel - Participate in all inter-departmental activities with marketing, publicity, business affairs, legal, program operations, product operations, consumer product and online divisions - Spearhead problem solving and crisis management resolution with studio partners and outside producers on all production and programming issues. - Possible participation in the development and current management of unscripted programs - Evaluate dailies and provide notes when necessary - On set coverage of production when necessary - Additional duties, as assigned

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Willing to work in Culver City, CA and travel/work on weekends with short notice.
