The Recycling Global Supply Manager is positioned at the interface between the targeted materials recovery teams and the supply of complex recyclable electronics. We are responsible for developing and negotiating acquisition and processing strategies, as well as recommending innovations based on developing technology and evolving regulations. The Operations Environmental Initiatives team is seeking an experienced procurement professional to evolve the Apple recycling space into an innovative, adaptable, and industry-leading model to compete with conventional primary material supply chains.

Develop a nuanced understanding of the recycling landscape to forecast industry trends and emerging competitive forces. Identify leverage within core markets and use industry dynamics to Apple’s advantage. Optimize performance through cost scenario analysis and benchmarking. Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added recycling processes and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple’s recycled material roadmap and sourcing decisions. Effectively negotiate optimal terms with suppliers. Understand value trade-offs in order to strike agreements that meet Apple’s performance criteria and secure long-term services continuity. Collaborate with Recycling Innovation, Environmental Technologies, Legal, Apple Recycling, Environmental Initiatives, EHS, Global Security, and Government Affairs to assess barriers and identify opportunities. The role requires a driven, independent, analytical individual who wants to promote innovation and manage complex international business relationships.

Education & Experience

BA/BS + 5-7 years of experience, MBA preferred Proven track record of pricing negotiation success Record of proactive cost reduction Project management experience
