High-Performance Audio Compute Engineer

We are looking for a High-Performance Audio Compute Engineer to lead the integration of cutting edge R&D into Apple’s proprietary compute platforms. You will work closely with hardware and software teams from across the company to design high-performing, low-powered audio compute architectures that drive the future of Apple’s interactive spatial audio technology.

- Ability to lead optimization strategies based on both algorithmic and computational considerations.
Apple’s advanced spatial audio technology is a cornerstone of our augmented reality frameworks; it is at the core of any compelling user experience. This is a cross-functional role fusing cutting edge R&D with Apple’s proprietary compute platforms. Responsibilities include understanding a suite of real-time audio algorithms and their contribution to user experience, profiling and assessing competing solutions, and the ability to select, defend, and lead a cohesive audio compute solution.
Education & Experience
PhD strongly preferred - Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, specializing in Audio Signal Processing or Related Field. MS considered with relevant work experience.
