Would you like to help hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world take control of the time they spend with their devices? Screen Time provides powerful tools to help users understand their device usage in order to achieve the right balance and empowers parents to guide screen time for their families! The Screen Time team is looking for a committed, highly competent engineer to contribute to building current and future application technologies and user experiences that help users and parents manage all of their Apple devices. In this role you will collaborate with engineers on the Screen Time team, and other teams across Apple. You will work on a variety of technologies, including user interfaces, cloud syncing, and interprocess communication.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in a professional programming position
  • Strong fundamentals including algorithms, object-oriented programming, and architecture design
  • Proficient understanding of macOS/iOS, Unix, and git
  • Experience using Objective-C with Apple technologies like CoreData, libdispatch, multi-threading, XPC
  • Excellent debugging, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Collaborative, adaptable, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to take end-to-end ownership of features and drive them to completion
  • Passion to learn and share new technologies and design principles
  • Belief in testing and tooling as a critical part of the software lifecycle
  • Tireless attention to detail

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science, or equivalent
