Within AppleCare Training, we strive to develop training content that will excite our advisors and give them the knowledge and skills necessary to provide outstanding customer service! We are looking for a hardworking Interactive Web Training Developer of interactive web-based training content to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role will support our curriculum development teams in creating rich, engaging. You will develop training interactions and simulations that will help our customer service Advisors understand all facets of customer service, from soft skills to software. You will craft reusable games, quizzes, and simulations that follow Apple’s rigorous design standards. The ideal candidate will flourish with innovation, never be at a loss for a new idea or improvement, and care deeply about the experience AppleCare is providing to our customers.

Key Qualifications

  • An exceptional portfolio of rich, interactive web content written in JavaScript
  • Cutting-edge understanding and validated application of modern front-end web technologies, including: JS(ES6+), HTML5, CSS3(SASS, SCSS), and React
  • Experience leading complex projects with multiple collaborators in GitHub
  • An outstanding eye for detail and ability to maintain style and branding across all mediums
  • Present cohesive design approaches to a non-design audience
  • Ability to accurately handle scope and timelines for multiple projects, always delivering outstanding results on-time with little supervision
  • Experience developing enticing mock-ups and prototypes using tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Keynote, and/or Adobe Illustrator
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience developing software engineering requirements
  • Experience coaching non-technical audiences in tools and production techniques. Ability to translate technical jargon to simple terms for non-technical audiences
  • Experience with modern web accessibility, including developing accessible content and testing content using both keyboard commands and VoiceOver screenreader


As an AppleCare Interactive Web Training Developer, you will work with tight deadlines and minimal supervision in a fast-paced, rewarding environment that demands high quality, creativity, and consistency. You have a passion for dreaming up new tools that will improve efficiency, and you have the knowledge and experience to bring them to market by yourself. You will use cutting-edge front-end web technologies to develop interactive training content which will enable AppleCare Advisors to better serve our customers. You will build code that is sustainable and reusable across solutions and sharable by your developer peers. You will work with instructional designers and curriculum managers to ensure that media decisions align with project timelines and milestones. You will collaborate with peers and key stakeholders to understand project requirements and influence interactive web content design decisions. 10% travel required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years relevant work experience Master’s degree in a related field a plus

Additional Requirements

  • - Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
  • - Experience building JavaScript applications in a modern Node environment
  • - Familiarity with localization processes, including understanding issues that arise when translating content
  • - Understanding of SCORM/xAPI/TinCan APIs
  • - Experience authoring and deploying web-based content on CMS/LMS
  • - Experience developing training content for contact center employees
  • - Experience writing Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks such as file handling and image manipulation
  • - Experience with audio and video editing Audacity or Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro
