We oversee the development and execution of global employee communications related to Apple’s products, culture, values, and benefits to inform and inspire all employees so they can do the best work of their lives. They should also demonstrate a real passion for the employee experience with a strong attention to detail. As a Copywriter/Copy Editor, you will create, edit and produce compelling communication for a wide spectrum of global employee-facing communications — from conception through flawless execution. You are versatile in both producing and creating, working with others and working solo — as you will plan and manage communications requirements from start to finish on your own, sometimes on the spot or with little advance notice. You will create meaningful, timely, inclusive communications that are in keeping with Apple’s unique style. You should be high-energy, proactive, highly organized and able to thrive in a dynamic, complex environment. Clear and concise communication is a requirement. The work is highly collaborative, and the ideal candidate will have worked extensively with designers, writers, and other creative professionals. The ideal candidate demonstrates outstanding copywriting and copy editing skills cross all communication channels, from online, to narrative, speeches for senior leaders as well as emails and newsletters. You possess strong communication, project and time management skills, and have a proven ability to work collaboratively with others — including executive leadership — in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment. You are a motivated, self-starter who stays calm under pressure.

Key Qualifications

  • An accomplished Copywriter/ Copy Editor with 7+ years experience
  • Significant editorial and proofreading experience at a best-in-class publication, internal communication team, design or financial firm, corporate communications department, or ad agency
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to focus and prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Firm grounding in U.S. English style (AP Style, Strunk & White, etc.), usage, grammar, and punctuation. Familiarity with standard style and usage guides
  • Experience with a variety of formats (e.g., video, social media), with the ability to identify emerging trends in communications
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • A dedicated self-starter that demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences and partners
  • You are flexible and versatile in nature, able to tackle challenges while maintaining an even keel and sense of humor

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree is required, along with 7+ years of relevant experience
