Apple's Retail Store Apps Engineering team is seeking a Server-side Software Engineer who's eager to work in an environment that is fast paced & complex. Our group focuses on design and development of iOS & web based solutions for Apple Retail Business.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in object-oriented programming (Java, J2EE, Spring,NET, C++, or other MVC frameworks)
  • Deep understanding and hands on experience in development of Service Oriented Architectures and restful services
  • Familiar with Test Driven Development using testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of a major relational or NoSQL database (e.g. Oracle / Cassandra)
  • Experience with distributed messaging systems (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of data structures, design patterns, architectural styles and API design
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines is a plus
  • Knowledge of containerization of applications using Docker will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies is a strong positive

Responsibilities include: Design and Develop solutions with solid architecture and design principles; adhere to development techniques and standards Design walkthroughs with technical teams and business staff to validate solutions against business requirements and system architecture Build resilient and highly-scalable systems Write well-crafted, testable, maintainable code Adopt and Champion CI/CD principles Stay up to date on new technologies and offer analysis of present or future benefit to Apple

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
