The iOS Car Experience team is looking for a hardworking, highly motivated engineer with 5+ years validated experience to share his or her expertise in application and framework development. Along with excellent skills in object-oriented software design and programming, you are encouraged to have real-world experience optimizing the size and performance of applications and frameworks. You will be responsible for implementing new features in existing applications as well as developing sophisticated applications from top to bottom (user interface design to design and implementation of supporting frameworks).

Key Qualifications

  • You have strong object-oriented programming experience (Obj-C, Swift, C++)
  • Experience developing apps using UIKit is highly desirable
  • Creativity and passion for design
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Comfortable with a large code base, dynamic working environments, and tight schedules
  • Experience developing multi-threaded and/or multi-process systems using IPC is desirable
  • Experience developing software with any of the following frameworks is a plus: CarPlay, CoreLocation, CoreMedia, MediaPlayer

Responsibilities include: User interface, application, framework programming Bringing together requirements and recommending system solutions Coordinating strategies with internal partners Resolving complex interdisciplinary problems Basic understanding of the OS, graphics, networking, and other sub-systems Automotive industry experience and/or experience shipping high-volume consumer products

Education & Experience

BS in computer science, EE or equivalent
