Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it The Video Operations group, part of Apple Media Product, is seeking a Mastering Operations Specialist to work on the Master Level Asset Management and tracking for Apple branded original content. The Video Operations team focuses on creating the premiere video experience for all content types, with impact throughout the industry, for a worldwide digital audience. Ideal candidates are not only passionate about entertainment, but also care deeply about the customer experience, and can contribute to a diverse organization with expertise in Partner Relations, TV App Services, Video Services, Music Video Content, Technical Operations, and Quality Control. Our responsibilities include working with distribution partners, ingestion of all video, audio, and ancillary assets, collaborating with developers on integration into our platforms & services, along with supporting localization, accessibility, quality control and more. Key Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in Global Mastering Operations (Master Level Asset Management)
  • We are looking for someone with advanced knowledge in the following areas:
  • Audio/Video containers, codecs, and file formats
  • Digital Cinema workflows and standards (E.g. 4K/2K/HD,DPX, 2D, 3D, DCP, HDR)
  • Digital Cinema mastering tools (E.g. Clipster, Doremi, Wailua, and Transkoder)
  • OCF, TIFF, DPX formats and data
  • HDR and object based audio variants
  • Working knowledge of Aspera and Signiant
  • Understanding of Digital Workflows and automated process for archiving, managing and delivery
  • You must be collaborative and organized
  • You must work well under pressure and with tight turnaround times
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture
  • Comfortable with a level of ambiguity


The Mastering Specialist will be responsible for and oversee the following: You will work with Production/Post production to ensure delivery and receipt of required assets, this may include managing 3rd party vendors for receipt of assets You will oversee the creation of servicing elements for internal use. This may include but not limited to archival and servicing video/audio masters, sales screeners for ad-sales, VAM and fingerprinting files for content security. You will work with the localization team to ensure delivery and receipt of servicing assets You will be responsible for maintaining asset specification requirements for vendors You will work with marketing (various) contacts to create and master domestic and international previews. You will be responsible for creation of scripts, CC files Track and manage post schedules, keeping stakeholders apprised of status Work closely with production & creative teams to meet targets and deliverables QC guidelines for high quality video and audio assets and long term archive

Education & Experience

College education preferred; plus 8-10+ years’ experience in Global Mastering Operations (Master Level Asset Management)
