As the Apple Music Business Planning Analyst at Apple Media Products, you’ll play an integral role in our day-to-day billing and planning operations. This role requires cross-functional interaction within our own Apple Music teams spanning Editorial, Content Licensing, Radio, Marketing, Live Events, Content Operations, Shazam, Platoon, Podcast, Artist Relations, and Publishing, as well as within our partner teams spanning IS&S Finance, Corporate Procurement, Marketing, and GFSS. You will be supporting the Apple Music team within the Apple Media Products group with Purchase to Pay, Financial Planning and Analysis and a variety of business reporting. Apple is seeking to fill an Analyst position within the Apple Music team to support our dynamic and fast-paced environment, as well as help this team scale billing and operations with the Company’s growth. This role is detailed and has many opportunities to provide insightful financial information and input to key stakeholders across the Company.
- A minimum of 2 years in Accounting or Finance or 4 years relevant experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Proficiency in SAP, eApproval, Filemaker, Supplier Connect, Tableau, and other financial systems preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills required to excel in a fast paced environment
The individual should be resourceful and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. The person must be able to problem solve, multi-task, work independently and prioritize their workload. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as they will be interacting with outside vendors, Procurement, Finance, as well as other organizations within Apple. The ideal candidate will take the initiative to improve and streamline existing processes to make them more efficient and scalable. Specific responsibilities include the following: Serve as key player in the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay process. Ensure proper purchase request entry into Filemaker, vendor set-up in Supplier Connect, and purchase order management. Coordinate management and cross-functional review/approval of invoices and post goods receipts to assist in timely payment of invoices by Accounts Payable. Provide support and training to Music teams on the Purchase-to-Pay process and general payment topics. Maintain accurate records in the capital tracking system. Report on Business Metrics and support accrual process. Support financial analysts, executive management, and business partners through various financial planning reporting, & analysis exercises.
Education & Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent required
