Background to the role We are searching for an agile senior leader, an experienced coach, a diversity specialist and a trusted community steward to employees, leaders and executives across our EMEIA region. You personally will act as a liaison between Apple’s worldwide vision and strategic priorities and the multi-functional and multi-industry ecosystem of our Sales, Marketing, Retail Corporate and General & Administrative teams in the region. The ideal candidate will be a leader of HR leaders who will build a robust team with strong business impact and a culture of constant learning. You will ensure country- and team-specific initiatives and strategies are well integrated into regional and worldwide priorities, and personally drive the adoption of a future orientated and highly inclusive work environment across EMEIA. This leader will be charged with adding significant value to Apple’s business in EMEIA by understanding human and operational needs and translating them into culturally and commercially focused solutions. You are an agile ambassador of the Apple culture and a role-model of collaboration to drive sustainable innovation that enriches both our customers’ and employees’ lives. You will also be an active agent and part of a guiding coalition to further broaden our PBP operating model across multiple lines of business and drive for alliances and joint partnership in alignment with critical business goals. You are a natural leader and integral member of the People and business leadership team. You have the energy, drive, vision and sheer tenacity to develop a dynamic regional People function, deliver innovative approaches and work closely with all partners within Apple. Your team will be equally adept at driving cross-functional and cross-country implementation of today’s People strategies as well as creating the human-centered, inclusive and diverse workplace of the future.

Key Qualifications

  • We are keen to meet candidates who have achieved a track record of consistent success within the HR arena in an international environment, having significant tenure within a leadership role. Expertise from within the technology or consumer markets is desirable but not crucial.

The purpose of this role is to co-create, lead and implement all People strategies and tactics for your business groups at Apple EMEIA. You will partner very closely with local, regional and global business leaders as well as all other People functions. You will be comfortable working in a highly collaborative, multinational culture and deeply invested in a high-impact HR model. Experience and solace within a fast-paced industry are important and the capability to communicate and implement HR strategies and practical solutions in a fast-paced environment and in partnership with a wide array of leadership functions will be paramount. Specific Business Partner Responsibilities • ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Based on strong business insight understand the needs of the business to achieve optimal organizational performance and efficiencies. Advise and influence senior leaders across an evolving matrix organization on key organizational and employee concerns. Provide advice and counsel to senior leaders and design and deliver aligned talent and goal setting strategies for the business. • CHANGE MANAGEMENT Ensure deep understanding of the purpose and impact of all ongoing change initiatives, both inside and outside of the People team, for themselves, their team and business partners. Collaborate with and coach own team and senior leaders on building a change agile organization that adopts innovation and aspires to constantly evolve. Ensure extraordinary employee and customers experiences as part of the implementation. • LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Understand the L&D requirements of the organization and work with Apple University, Global Talent Development and other internal HR partners to secure and deliver appropriate training and development activities to the organization. Ensure the (countries) HR team is deeply proficient in all learning solutions proven in the field and can appropriately facilitate training and coaching sessions to achieve maximum business impact. • TALENT & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Lead and develop a scalable and trusted Functional HR team that guides on all performance related issues, including talent and, succession planning, performance reviews, recognition, performance issues, performance improvement and terminations. Ensure all related processes are deeply aligned to the Apple culture as well as in-country labor requirements. • INCLUSION & DIVERSITY Knows how to cultivate an organisational culture where creating an inclusive environment is a shared responsibility that allows everyone to do their best work. Has experience in integrating I&D into business strategies, ensuring that diversity of perspective is represented through many seen and unseen characteristics. Has a deep connection to the importance of I&D and through coaching can guide others to create a culture of belonging. Should be seen as a change agent and influencer in large organisations, knowing that diversity is a cultural and commercial strength that drives innovation. • Employee Relations Partner with and support the Employee Relations function to collaborate on all aspects of employee-related issues, including manager and employee issues, policies and procedures, misconduct, investigations, terminations, review of appealed terminations, reorganizations and claims. Maintain compliance with labor, employment and health and safety laws and regulations. • Recruiting and On-boarding Partner with Recruiting, Global Mobility and the various functions of business to assess and optimize talent acquisitions and onboarding operations. Partner with GRT to ensure excellent on-boarding experiences and efficient acculturation processes for senior leaders, managers and employees across (countries). • Compensation and Benefits In close partnership with the business leaders drive and deliver the annual salary planning process for (countries). Liaising with the C&B teams to develop and deliver C&B programs that are effective and efficient in (countries), aligned to our global C&B philosophy and provide a highly ambitious Apple experience for our employees. • HR Metrics Design and implement practices to supervise and report key people trends and data. Integrate findings with business metrics to build strong business acumen for the HR team, dedicatedly find opportunities across the business and HR function and recommend programs and program enhancements as vital.
