The NPI Capacity Program Management team is a high impact team that provides leaders critical insights that drive decision-making and execution for Apple's largest business. The team works on critical projects such as defining iPhone sourcing strategy, settling quarterly and launch volumes that form the basis for revenue guidance, influencing key inputs for multi billion dollar budgets and navigating complex operational challenges. On a day to day basis the team plays a meaningful role in defining and driving strategic and operational priorities as well as improvements across the iPhone organization. Individuals on this team are analytically savvy, adept at problem solving and have a dedication to engage and seek maximum impact.

Key Qualifications

  • Supply chain planning or operations experience related to development and optimization of NPI capacity needs. Industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with scenario planning and serving as business point of contact for data intensive work-streams spanning multiple cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing day-to-day calls and relationships with OEMs tied to supplier capabilities and recommending different sets of solutions
  • Self starter with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and VBA skills (Python is a plus)


The main work streams include: Strategic Planning, Execution and Reporting Strategic Planning: Review long-term needs for iPhone manufacturing and devise scenarios and tradeoff analyses that optimize conflicting priorities. You lead efforts to quantify manufacturing capacity needs for the complete product portfolio, figure out business allocation between OEMs, drive cross-functional agreement and recommend strategies that mitigate risk across different business functions. Execution: Engage with cross-functional partners such as OEMs, Product Operations and Operations Engineering teams to develop internal simulations that not only enable seamless flow across EOL/NPI products and define launch volumes. This includes close coordination with Supply Chain Planning and the Procurement organization to provide a unified picture of iPhone supply. Operations focused pre-launch build activities, execution involves managing demand for key modules and small parts needed to qualify mass production equipment. Reporting: Develop and maintain premier reporting tools and data streams for all factory operations, providing easy data access to enable historical data analyses, and publish insights generated from critical metrics and similar metrics to executive management.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related field. MBA, Master's degree or management consulting experience in operations preferred.
