The User Privacy team’s mission is to further our strong user privacy protections by building privacy-enhancing tools for our internal teams and our end users. This work involves working across the organization and utilizing a wide toolchain from web frameworks to working directly on operating system features. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to become a member of the Apple User Privacy team to further this work. Your efforts will impact software features touching millions of our customers and developers worldwide.
- Passion for user privacy
- 3+ years practical background in software engineering and client development
- Proven track record of delivering shipping software
- Ability to solve complex problems independently
- Strong collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Objective-C, Swift, or another C-based language
- Knowledge and background in AWS, Kubernetes, or iOS client APIs
This position requires an individual who isn’t afraid to tackle tough problems and to context switch quickly. This team handles a wide range of features and tools that touch upon a lot of critical areas for our users. Your average week can run from building a new web tool to integrating new features into iOS. Successful candidates will be highly skilled engineers who have a passion for for user privacy and are capable of working independently. The ability to learn and grow quickly is highly valued in this position. You will be touching new systems each week, pitching new ideas, and actively working on the future of privacy at Apple.
Education & Experience
BA/BS Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
