Ever wanted to ship amazing experiences in Apple products? Be part of the engineering team that is developing Apple’s next generation of human interface technologies! Our group comes from diverse backgrounds in signal and image processing, statistics, machine learning, controls, physics, neuroscience, and human factors. We seek a manager to lead a small group of hardworking engineers, partner with teams across the company, and own a focal point of our input technology development. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the development process, and for delivering key product features on time and with high quality. To lead the team effectively, you will draw deeply on your technical background. To represent the team well, you will also need sufficient engineering breadth to have productive conversations across algorithms, machine learning, firmware, software, hardware, design, user studies, and many other functions.
- Algorithm design for classification, filtering, signal processing or control
- Analyzing and presenting complex data
- Working with an embedded or resource-constrained system, and with C or C++
- We would appreciate additional experience with:
- Machine learning
- Gesture recognition
- Electrical engineering and hardware design
We would prefer candidates who have experience managing at least a small team for several years. We would like to hear specific, detailed examples of ways you have broken complex problems into manageable pieces. We would love to learn about projects where you have combined all the necessary parts to complete and ship a product. We will look for candidates who are able to communicate complex topics to people from a variety of backgrounds and technical abilities, and adapt their speech and writing to different audiences.
