The Apple Retail Trends and Insights team is seeking a hardworking and collaborative individual that is passionate about data to join our team of Market Researchers. Work closely on critical initiatives to help inform and move what matters by identifying and sharing compelling insights, and providing comprehensive points of view in close partnership with our strategy and analytics teams. We have multiple established survey tracking methods to keep our fingers on the pulse of our customer experiences online, with the help of specialists in our contact centers, and in our 500+ retail stores. Our organization also conducts ad hoc quantitative and qualitative studies, as well as usability research, among customers and employees.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven ecommerce experience, with an appreciation for the complexities of processes and technology, and how each impacts the customer journey.
  • Ability to turn streams of data into actionable recommendations to guide, inform, and inspire tactical actions and long-term planning to improve the customer experience.
  • Strong communication skills in person, in email, and in presentations, with a creative and fresh approach to understanding and sharing insights. Comfortable presenting to all levels within Apple Retail.
  • Project/program management skills - the ability to break down complex projects into manageable tasks in partnership with supporting teams to deliver to specifications and on time.
  • Driven to get the whole story, and to deeply know the business you support.
  • Passionate about customer experience, ecommerce, delivery logistics, and how these spaces are evolving.
  • Ability to collaborate and also operate independently.
  • High level of organization skills and detail oriented.
  • Phenomenal time management and thrives in an ever-evolving dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in and bringing structure to ambiguous environments.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of conducting Market Research projects end-to-end, as well as producing and actioning data-driven insights required. Focus on ecommerce is preferred.

Description

Provide actionable, customer-centric insights to the Retail Online business, based on analyzing data from the online purchase and order fulfillment customer experience tracking surveys. You will also be responsible for maintaining and optimizing existing tracking surveys, as well as building out any future surveys in these spaces. Functional understanding of Retail’s online business operations from site and app functionality to delivery carrier capabilities is essential for success in this role.

Additional Requirements

  • Experienced quantitative client or vendor side Market Research professional working with established survey methods, questionnaire writing, and analytical techniques is preferred. If the candidate is experienced in eCommerce and Analytics, a strong desire to quickly ramp up and master Market Research skills is required.
  • Experience successfully advocating for insights-driven change with leadership and task forces.
  • Proficient in data visualization and storytelling in general, especially tools like Tableau and Luminoso.
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language preferred (Chinese especially preferred).
