We are seeking a motivated and proven full-stack development specialist to be an App Frameworks Evangelist. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Developer app and its underlying systems, helping to bring technical and design content to our developer community during WWDC and throughout the year. In addition, this role will help guide and support 3rd-party developers in the development of their own apps, both through direct engagement and the creation of new educational content for the Developer app. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the architecture and quality of apps and games enjoyed by millions of people every day! We are looking for candidates who possess a passion for Apple technologies, have an eye for good design, and demonstrate expertise with frameworks and technologies such as Swift, Objective-C, UIKit, Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes. You have strong communication and people skills and a passion for working with and supporting app developers in a positive and collaborative way.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years applied experience in iOS and/or macOS development
  • Experience in developing and deploying cloud-based server applications
  • Demonstrable proficiency with key Apple developer frameworks and technologies
  • Expertise with Xcode, Swift, and/or Objective-C
  • Experience with Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of the app development process and 3rd-party tools
  • Critical eye for attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a professional and credible demeanor
  • Proven public speaking and presentation skills
  • Dedicated individual who understands Apple's high standards

Development of the Developer app and its underlying servers and systems. Performing engineering reviews to find opportunities for optimization, modernization, use of best practices, and the adoption of key Apple frameworks. Working with Apple engineering teams to advocate for the requirements of 3rd-party developers. Working one-on-one with 3rd party development teams to ensure they're taking full advantage of Apple frameworks and technologies within their apps. Identifying, documenting, and communicating developer progress, trends, and technical issues to teams within Apple.

Education & Experience

B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development, or Software Design Engineering
