This position is responsible for enabling the development of battery technology for consideration in future product platform applications. Focus is on the science and technology of battery materials. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, with solid experience in battery materials development, who is able to work effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or academic settings related to battery materials
  • Demonstrated expertise and extensive hands-on experience in synthesis, characterization and evaluation of battery electrodes
  • In-depth knowledge of electrochemical processes in batteries and experience with electrochemical tests to investigate new materials and technologies
  • Knowledge of current state of the art and beyond lithium-ion technologies
  • Motivated with strong organizational and planning skills, able to work independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment


- Design and conduct experiments, analyze results and prepare reports to drive development activities - Determine best techniques and most effective paths to attain the desired outcome to meet project goals - Identify risks, determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems, and drives mitigation plans to address the challenges - Interface and effectively collaborate with other engineering teams - Research literature and industry for advancements in technology related design, equipment, process and material utilization - Some travel to external vendors, suppliers and pilot / production line facilities expected

Education & Experience

PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemistry or related field
