Noise & Vibration Engineering Project Manager

Will you help us design and develop the next generation of Apple products? We are seeking an enthusiastic member to join our team. The Apple Acoustic EPM Team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to support our Noise & Vibration Hardware Engineering team activities. Join us in developing creative solutions to deep engineering challenges. You will become an integral part of a team that champions engineering excellence, creativity and innovation. In this highly cross-functional role, you will oversee the coordination efforts internally with the Noise & Vibration team as well as externally with our Product Design, EE and Operations teams (to name a few). The EPM will facilitate good communication and offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management. In addition, you will drive day-to day program activities, system build planning, execution & risk assessments to meet overall program objectives for development projects.
- 7+ years of program management experience
- Basic noise/ vibration background or acoustics background
- Experience working with international OEM/ODM partners is a plus
- Understanding of high-volume production and test procedures
- Ability to travel internationally <10% (as required)
- Exceptional listening, presentation and communication skills
- Your knowledge of Mandarin is a plus (but not required)

Engineering Project Managers are responsible for leading a broad multi-functional team in developing multiple projects across the Hardware Engineering organization. In this critical role, you will help co-ordinate projects that involves the design, integration and launch of state of the art technologies for world-renowned Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Macs, Watch and Audio Products. Advocate for the best overall acoustic performance throughout the organization. Prioritize issues and track details. Drive a talented, passionate, experienced multi-functional team and external suppliers. Deliver acoustics modules on schedule, facilitating risk management and communicating status and issues to the development team and Apple executives. Be savvy enough to understand the roles and responsibilities of the key partners and identify partners to efficiently drive key decisions. Remain in touch with big picture issues.
Education & Experience
BS degree ME/Physics/EE required MS preferred
