We are seeking a Product Design / Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of next-generation haptic actuators and experiences. We are seeking a Product Design / Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of next-generation haptic actuators and haptic experiences..
- Experience with 3D CAD
- Experience in 2D drafting, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
- Strong engineering fundamentals (solid mechanics, kinematics, dynamics)
- Master of problem-solving: including the use of the scientific method, root cause analysis, and DOE creation
- Applied knowledge of electrical circuits, material science, and basic chemistry
- Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills
- Team Oriented: able to thrive in a collaborative multi-functional environments
You will have end-to-end responsibility for the mechanical design and integration of haptic actuators from concept to production. Your deliverables include brainstorming/prototyping novel design concepts and solutions, conducting rigorous engineering analysis/simulations, and converting ideas into detailed specifications for high-volume production. This role requires occasional international travel as you oversee key prototyping milestones at the manufacturing facilities. You will also collaborate with a wide range of teams and domain experts within the company spanning disciplines such as human interaction and industrial design to process engineering and technical operations. This role requires effective communication both cross-functionally as well as through the management structure.
Education & Experience
M.S. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Solid Mechanics or Physics Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
