The AMP Video QC & Compliance team ensures that all video content and accompanied components distributed on Apple Media platforms, meets Apple’s high-quality standards to provide the best possible viewing experience to our customers. As a Video Quality Data Analyst you will play a central role in making data-driven decisions to improve processes, delivery methods and automation across our video pipeline. You will be taking a hands on approach to ensuring our data projects are driven to completion. You will be required to understand the inner-workings of our process and propose solutions to achieve operational efficiency without substituting quality.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in the digital media or technology industry
  • 5+ years experience in a data analyst or quality measurement role focusing on sampling, performance, failure rate, defect frequency and cost analysis
  • Project management experience including working cross-functionally and leading requirements gathering processes and status review meetings
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands in the data
  • Ability to draw meaningful insights from datasets and translate into high level strategy and actionable tasks
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to rapidly changing requirements, decisive and willing to lead the hard calls
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You are results-oriented, upbeat and focused with a strong passion to learn and succeed
  • Deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware (Mac OS X, iOS, Apple Music, iTunes, App Store, iBooks, Podcasts, iTunes U, Trailers, Apple TV, etc.)
  • A passion for video content
  • Proficiency in SQL and have no problem understanding complex data models
  • You have experience working with scripting languages such as perl, bash, python, ruby etc. and can write scripts to automate workflows and data validation
  • Strong fundamentals in statistics and probability
  • Exposure to the fields of logistics, demand planning, operations, or finance
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain and key supply chain metrics which need to be tracked for project success
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills such as Excel, Numbers, Quip, etc.
  • Experience with Tableau and/or other analysis/BI tools


- Acquire a deep understanding of our data pipeline, from delivery, to ingestion, to QC review to consumption, as well as our process management tools. - Conduct assessments on our review methods to identify coverage and quality challenges; develop data-driven solutions to address these challenges at a large scale. - Identify, evaluate and procure potential internal and external solutions to improve our delivery and process quality. - Work closely with Engineering teams to implement new tooling and enhancements. Recognize and act on opportunities for automation - Gather and define feature requirements, propose solutions, obtain buy-ins, negotiate timelines and track implementation progress. - Develop project KPIs to measure success and regularly report on status - Build collaborative relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. - Identify and tackle opportunities to enrich and drive video and component quality across various platforms while considering long term impact.

Education & Experience

BA/BS or equivalent experience with a focus in Data Science/Data Analytics or Statistics
