The Apple Audio Products Team is looking for a System Engineering Project Manager to drive the design, development and validation of high quality Apple Audio Products. The System EPMs lead a diverse team of Electrical, Mechanical and Acoustics engineers, utilizing a solid engineering background to recognize, assess and communicate cross-functional issues and risks. Engineering Program Managers facilitate effective communication and offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management. In addition, they drive day-to day program activities to meet overall program objectives. We value intuition, attention to detail, and collaboration to expertly drive projects across a range of teams.

Key Qualifications

  • You have 4 - 6 years of related experience in project management
  • You have 4 - 6 of industry experience
  • You have a strong technical background
  • Your written and oral communication, organization, presentation, and leadership skills are excellent
  • You comprehend, communicate and manage complex design trade-offs

We seek a highly organized, adaptable, disciplined individual to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will develop and manage hardware development project schedules with engineering teams while communicating project status to a wide spectrum of individual contributors and executive management. Use teamwork and collaboration to facilitate communication across engineering managers, operations managers, marketing managers and our OEM partners to meet very aggressive cost, schedule, and quality goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Drive day-to day program activities to meet program objectives. - Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision-making - Support system definition and drive closure of architecture and technical opens in the early stages of a project - Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution - Interface between vendors and product engineering teams, setting and handling schedules and product landmarks - Synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and communicate to partners and organizations at all levels

Education & Experience

- BS ME/EE degree or equivalent, MS degree preferred
