Join us to help deliver the next groundbreaking Apple product. Do you love working on challenges that no one has solved yet? Apple is seeking a highly motivated, energetic digital audio HW engineer to take a key role in the design and implementation of the audio functions in next generation SoCs.

Key Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of digital audio engineering experience. The following experiences would be advantageous:
  • A fundamental understanding of processor Architecture.
  • Experience with Interpolation/Decimation filter chains, Adaptive Noise Cancellation and a high-level understanding of the Digital Signal Processing required.
  • Experience in the Audio Processing Domain and with Wireless accessory products.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Coding DSP Algorithms on a Microprocessor, process profiling of various S/W algorithms.

Description

As a member of the audio processing team, the ideal candidate will contribute to many areas of real-time audio processing including algorithms and hardware. You will be happy to work across the usual boundaries, at the junction of hardware and software and are concerned with the trade-offs between hardware and software solutions and between general purpose processors and custom signal processors. This is very much a digital audio hands-on design and engineering role where you can make a difference to the future of real time audio processing at Apple! Responsibilities include: - Working on Multi-processor designs and their associated busses/fabrics, memory subsystems, and peripheral devices/interfaces. - Taking Product requirements all the way through to detailed Architecture specifications and working with cross functional teams to guide them through the product design and development process. Can effectively communicate technical information concisely to cross functional teams. - Working with S/W Algorithm teams and S/W Drivers teams. - Helping to solve SoC Architecture based Power/Performance and Area trade-offs. - Working with Digital Design and Verification teams and having a fundamental understanding of the Digital ASIC flow. - Designing end to end data processing paths compatible with Audio Codec use cases.
