Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership roles managing large highly complex programs and projects
  • Experience with information security domains with knowledge of security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities
  • Experience executing key information security initiatives internally and externally to the organization
  • Ability to think big picture, integrating multiple efforts together to align strategy with execution
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organization teams to negotiate and assemble project plans, secure commitments on deliverables, and resolve blocking issues
  • Excellent organization skills and an acute attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving abilities in both ambiguous and tactical situations
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Ability to establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for measuring security posture

Apple Information Security’s (AIS) Program Management Office (PMO) is looking for a highly skilled Engineering Portfolio Manager with validated experience managing complex technical programs and projects. The Portfolio Manager will oversee a collection of programs and projects covering cross-functional security domains and be responsible for validating that all work supports AIS strategy. The Portfolio Manager will be the primary point of intake of new work and will partner closely with senior leaders to define new investment areas, prioritize work, and facilitate decisions on allocation of resources and budget for the organization. This role will collaborate with other Engineering Portfolio Managers, PMO Leadership, and AIS senior leaders to maintain visibility into all work in AIS and manage ongoing prioritization of work through a recurring strategic planning process. This will allow the PMO to forecast new or evolving work and drive more proactive and holistic decisions about allocating resources and funding. The Portfolio Manager will manage long-term strategic plans including the roadmap of current and future programs and projects, and achievement of KPIs to support AIS strategic objectives. This role will also be expected to produce executive-level reports for AIS and Apple leadership to communicate progress against goals and impact to security. This requires sound business judgment, strategic thinking and prioritization, strong analytical thinking, long-term planning and forecasting, senior leadership collaboration, and proven ability to influence others.

Education & Experience

Bachelor/ Master Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and other Apple tools or equivalent
