Experienced cross-functional leader to explore and drive commerce related strategic initiatives for the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, TV+ and more. Working collaboratively across the organization with business teams, marketing, finance, legal, design, engineering, project management, and international teams in establishing the strategic direction and business objectives of new opportunities. Focused on taking ideas and concepts and turning them into well rounded proposals that consider business models, systems and technologies, projected results, industry positioning, global relevance, customer experience and partner experience. Ensure the required investments to bring the ideas to market are comprehensive, realistic and thoughtful. Further ensuring all initiatives meet or exceed the premium customer experience levels Apple is widely known for and leverage our unique capabilities.

Key Qualifications

  • The successful candidate:
  • Recognized leader with ten to fifteen years of management or consulting experience
  • Insight into online commerce, subscriptions and/or digital products a plus
  • Knowledge working with third parties and commerce platforms preferred
  • Clear understanding of a great customer experience and what differentiates Apple
  • Enthusiastic willingness and agility to learn new technologies and spaces
  • Strong analytical mindset and fierce attention to detail
  • Effective interacting at all levels of an organization
  • Solutions oriented with the ability to solve complex problems creatively
  • Sound product/project management skills and ability to perform under tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of managing multiple major initiatives in a cross-functional environment Action-oriented and energetic with ability to thrive in fast paced atmosphere
  • Highly skilled at presenting ideas and obtaining support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Business and Operations • Stay apprised of the commerce industry and the competitive landscape • Understand world-wide success factors and cultural differences • Build a pipeline of big ideas and initiatives • Explore new initiatives and strategic acquisitions • Perform due diligence and determine key business, operational and technical needs • Ensure clearly presented proposals internally to maximize Apple-wide support • Maintain strong business relationships with key constituents Product • Establish a clear strategy for each initiative that aligns with Apple’s overall product strategy • Possess or gain extensive knowledge of the Apple’s products and services, including the App Store, Apple Music, TV+, Arcade, News+, iCloud, AppleCare and future products and direction • Turn ideas and concepts into large strategic features and new programs • Ensure the needs of all markets worldwide are appropriately considered • Define proposals with commitment to the best customer experience • Use analytics to determine the size of opportunities and evaluate the reasonableness of the assumptions • Work with third parties to understand existing competitive or related solutions and clearly define how new proposals are better positioned to meet the needs of current and future customers Collaboration • Work with all facets of Apple and lead all areas of Apple Media Products in the development of strategic initiatives that leverage the diversity and talent of our employees and partners • Organize innovative groups of people with common interests to leverage Apple’s deep control of the ecosystem and unique ability to influence • Coordinate with finance and analytics to ensure business and financial impacts are understood • Harness the insights from business and marketing teams and structure into critical and complex features • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams on technical feasibility, designs and performance requirements for purposes of sizing the required investment • Consider risk management, government affairs, legal, security and fraud prevention in proposals • Understand operations including production support and customer support processes and service levels required

Education & Experience
