In this role, you will focus on developing complex automation solutions for the formal validation of autonomous system components. Quality and safety are achieved with robust systems and processes which constantly evaluate each subcomponent, component, module, system interaction, and implementation, driven by our internal automation processes. Through creative and innovative usage of SIL, HIL, modeling, and other testing methodologies, you will help bring Apple’s next big thing into production.

Key Qualifications

  • Multiple levels of experience are considered for this role (junior, senior), where ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with various communication busses such as CAN, Ethernet, CXP, PCIe
  • Experience with complex system tester design and operation
  • Expertise in Matlab/Simulink and related modeling tools
  • Possess programming skills (preferred languages are Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, Python)
  • Understand functional requirements and flow charts to create test procedures


-Work with SW development engineers in the development of test cases -Compile and deliver Matlab S-functijons to development testers -Work with controller designs to model controller on HIL tester -Design and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems -Develop physics/behavioral plant models using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow -Manage and Control HIL/Plant models changes across multiple controller development projects -Develop test automation within HIL environment, using test executors/automation -Execute tests on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) System. -Log, report and root cause defects -Review software design documents and code to understand functionality -Upgrade and maintain test platforms if necessary -Supports end customer, manufacturing and field issue resolution -Coordinate with various development teams to re-use existing models where possible
