The Strategic Data Solutions team is looking for a strong product manager to help drive strategy, roadmap and direction setting for our programs and products focussed on supply chain and fulfillment operations that gets Apple products in the hands of our beloved customers. It is a unique opportunity to work on critical strategy initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced team impacting all parts of Apple's ecosystem and applying cutting edge ML, AI and Decision Automation solutions to positively impact customer experience.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience as an product or program manager, business analyst, data scientist, or engineer
  • Experience owning product lifecycle and roadmaps
  • Experience in identifying / creating important metrics that measure performance of business operations
  • Crystal clear succinct communication style to business and technical partners, leadership, data scientists and technology teams
  • Ability to explore a problem space, develop a deep understanding of dependencies and root causes and create a scalable solution approach
  • Ability to translate business needs to data science problems
  • Ability to translate solution approach to technical requirements to be shared with technology teams
  • Experience in operations, supply chain, omni channel distribution or logistics
  • Ability to work independently, grasp new concepts quickly, and be capable of managing analytic projects down to the details
  • Work well under limited supervision and use good judgment to know when to update and seek guidance from team members, partners, and leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to connect with individuals at all levels, shift rapidly between communications styles and develop partnerships
  • Proven ability to drive change through positive influence of co-workers, leadership, and business partners
  • Inquisitiveness and a desire for continued self-improvement and development of new skills


This product manager role will deliver process and analytic systems that have a strategic impact for Apple. They drive decision automation using machine learning that allows Apple to execute with greater speed, control, efficiency, and scale. They help realize business opportunity and balance operational tradeoffs through data science. Most importantly, they allow Apple to provide exceptional service to each and every one of its users by providing leadership across functional teams to conceptualize, build, and deliver automated decision analytics and forensic analysis. This requires continuous problem solving, rapid learning, and an innovative mindset. It also requires discipline, patience, and self-awareness as you work with many different business and engineering teams. The candidate’s role will include: • Working collaboratively with our team of data scientists, data analysts, developers and technology partners • Developing partnerships with key business managers across a variety of teams across Apple, including finance, operations, engineering, and corporate security • Translating business needs into initiatives with well-defined business and technical requirements • Identifying new business opportunities and developing products / solutions that balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, success likelihood, and analytic risk • Driving product lifecycle from proof of concept to sunset • Developing and prioritizing analytic development roadmaps • Managing business critical metrics • Effectively communicating project status and analytic results

Education & Experience

BS / MS in computer science, engineering, business analytics or related technical field a plus
