The Apple Maps Business Services team is looking for an engineering lead to build cloud services connecting businesses to their customers through Apple’s family of apps and devices. We're looking for creative problem solvers, able to tackle problems under tight deadlines to deliver solutions with a high attention to detail.

Key Qualifications

  • Track record of shipping cloud services for mobile and desktop application
  • Experience architecting transactional, high-available, distributed systems
  • Experience working with large data sets — in relational databases or key-value store
  • Programming knowledge in either, Java8+, Scala, GoLang, or Python
  • Appropriate knowledge of using web technologies in the system architecture
  • Strong knowledge of concurrency and fault tolerant designs
  • Proven knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud
  • Proven ability to analyze business requirements and build efficient solutions
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter that’s able to continuously improve systems and its component
  • Ability to effectively function in a fast-paced environment


- Lead and deliver projects working closely with engineers, program managers and other stakeholders - Architect end-to-end solution working collaboratively with multiple engineering teams - Evaluate technologies to improvement of engineering tools and processes - Develop system & deployment architecture, business process flows, and data flows - Maintain an intense focus on secure software to maintain our customer’s privacy - Be a product evangelist: help define, promote & share the vision

Education & Experience

- Bachelor in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Management is required - Master degree in Computer Science with relevant years of experience is preferred
