The Apple Home Products Team is looking for a Product Design Engineering Project Manager to drive the design, development and validation of high quality Apple Products. This role will work closely with the entire cross functional organization with a focus on managing PD and ID systems integration. The role will also be responsible for driving ID/PD closures for development builds and driving the status of cross-functional issues and risks. EPMs are fearless organizers who are ready to work with the highly skilled development teams to identify and resolve potential pitfalls to the schedule and risks to the quality of the product. We value intuition, attention to detail, and collaboration to expertly drive projects across a range of teams.

Key Qualifications

  • You have 3 - 5+ years of related experience in project management (consumer electronics experience and working in a Design environment are a plus)
  • You have experience working with Designer
  • Your written and oral communication, organization, presentation, and leadership skills are excellent
  • You comprehend, communicate and manage complex development status
  • You exhibit great interpersonal skills and are oriented toward teamwork
  • Self-motivated and high-energy with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles
  • You remain calm and flexible in times of ambiguity
  • Ability to travel internationally to support builds (2 - 4 times per year)


In this dynamic role, you will develop and manage hardware project schedules as it pertains to HW design with engineering teams while communicating project status to a wide spectrum of individual contributors and executive management. Use teamwork and collaboration to facilitate communication across engineering managers, operations manager, marketing managers and our OEM partners to meet very aggressive cost, schedule, and quality goals. - Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision-making - Support system definition and drive closure of architecture and technical opens in the early stages of a project - Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution - Interface between vendors and product engineering teams and ID, setting and handling schedules and product landmarks - Synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and communicate to partners and organizations at all levels - Experience driving international contract manufacturing partners - Understanding of high volume production and test processes

Education & Experience

- Minimum of BS degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or similar)
