Apple’s Mac System Technologies team is expanding our base in Cupertino CA. We are world-class electronics engineers responsible for bringing new technologies from ideas to mass production. We’re seeking a seasoned yet visionary EE/CE to join us in realizing Apple’s long term technology goals. This hands-on individual contributor design lead engineering role entails imagining, defining, implementing and proving novel ideas. Develop within the team and collaborate among various cross-functional teams across Apple, as well as drive third party vendors to create new technologies to be used in Apple products.

- Envision, define and document new ideas for technology development through engineering specifications - Design proof of concept to establish a baseline, leveraging knowledge and techniques, and creating platforms that generate data for analysis. - Signal and power integrity simulation and measurement - Schematic capture using Cadence Concept and management of PCB layout in Allegro Manufacturing build support - Test planning and execution - Prototype bring-up, debug, and functional verification - Failure Analysis with root cause and mitigations - Gather, analyze and present data to cross functional teams

Education & Experience

BS, MS or PhD in Electrical/Computer and Electronics Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in high volume consumer electronics design

Additional Requirements

  • - Design, synthesis and testing of FPGAs/SOCs
  • - Embedded system design including firmware and scripting languages
  • - Working with partners, vendors, material suppliers and schedules to meet delivery dates
  • - Position requires occasional domestic and international travel (5%)
