The AppleCare Training and Development team is looking for an exceptional training manager to lead an established multidisciplinary team of highly hardworking interactive developers and designers. You and your team will bring a passion for producing high quality interactive web solutions that effectively support instructional and information design methodologies. This role is responsible for ensuring that your team works effectively with AppleCare instructional designers and content partners to create rich, engaging, clear, and concise interactive solutions for thousands of support Advisors. You will lead with innovative solutions to learning and on-call challenges. Your background should include producing and leading the development of high quality, modern web solutions using interactivity, audio, video, visual and information design, and sound user experience principles. This position is preferred in Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience managing or leading interactive web production for a large, global organization
  • Effective people-management skills
  • Ability to lead teams that support multiple business units
  • Solid knowledge of instructional design and web content development processes, including typical time and resources needed to produce work on-time, at high-quality, and to specification
  • Exceptional program and project management skills and experience
  • The ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, with varying timelines
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and an ability to flourish in an environment of constant change
  • Outstanding and polished interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and impress effectively at all corporate levels
  • Demonstrable ability to assess business needs, prioritize accordingly, and escalate appropriately

  • Understanding of base front-end development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience developing web content delivered via Learning Management Systems
  • Understanding of SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, and Tin Can/xAPI learning standards and specifications


As an Interactive Web Development Manager, your responsibilities will include managing a team of highly skilled and experienced developers and designers to create innovative learning and support solutions. This team takes pride in providing solutions that result in an amazing experience for our support staff and customers. This role is accountable for driving the team business strategy and technical direction. You are expected to effectively lead your resources to maximize efficiency and to partner with other business leaders to support multiple organizational goals.

Education & Experience

BA or BFA in Multimedia, eLearning, Graphic Design, UX or Product Design or equivalent work experience
