Our team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced System Architect to lead and drive system technical designs and roadmaps. The ideal candidate, will lead all aspects of and analyze key system architectural trade-offs and how the electrical design can deliver the features of the product. They will perform analysis including power and performance in a thermally constrained system, analyzing silicon, PCB, and interconnect floor plans while taking SI, EMC and RF into consideration, and system power states and power budget analysis.

  • Experience designing high volume products from beginning to end as well as experience creating system specification documents
  • Must have phenomenal system architecture fundamentals. This means you have a deep understanding of how data flows in a system and you've developed an intuition on product definition and can apply it to new features because you understand what matters and how to build it
  • Analytical skills to lead the team on key systems engineering architectural and implementation trade-offs on high performance, low power, and high quality products
  • At some point in your career, you have worked with schematic capture (any package) and have placement/routing experience
  • Strong verbal communication skills across organizations and at the executive level
  • Excellent written skills for clear reporting of data analysis and conclusions
  • 5+ years experience in a lead architecture role


In this role, they will interact with many multi-functional teams including EE Integration, Software, Mechanical engineers. Being able to communicate ideas clearly, work through ambiguities, and negotiate solutions with these teams is essential to being successful. Responsibilities: • Build system architecture specifications, block diagrams, and product requirements documentation • Work with cross-functional engineering teams on hardware and software-enabling technologies • Guide early system layout studies and partner closely with EE Integration and Mechanical Engineering teams • Specify, negotiate, and document system power management and user level behaviors • Join hands-on prototype, bring-up, and validation efforts • Review, influence, and challenge system performance decisions with new ideas • Creatively influence product roadmaps across groups

Education & Experience

BS/MS in electrical engineering or computer engineering
