The On-device Communications team in Apple Services is looking for an experienced User Acceptance Test Specialist with a background in testing software as a service. This role will sit within the Growth Marketing Operations Team to play a key role in enabling on-device communications and automated messaging for Apple’s media products and services. The team focuses on the timely delivery, strategy, and execution of in-app messaging sent to millions of users across multiple Apple services, including: Apple TV+, Music, Arcade, App Store, and Apple One.

Key Qualifications

  • 5 -7+ years in Quality Assurance and/or User Acceptance Testing with 5 years' of experience in leading testing efforts across multiple QA and/or UAT initiatives for a subscription based service
  • Experience with testing activities across the entire lifecycle of the project from inception to delivery
  • Experience working on End to End testing across multiple applications and developing test plan, test scripts and coverage matrix for comprehensive testing of the systems under test
  • Experience creating written UAT/QA reports, expertly documenting for QA leads and/or Project Managers, showcasing test plan completion, defects identified and associated defect IDs for follow-up
  • Relevant examples of test cases showing test scenarios across multi-platforms (examples: iOS, Android, Web, etc) showing an in-depth understanding of life cycle marketing
  • Responsible for ensuring all bugs, defects, enhancements, requirements are recorded in an efficient, informative and timely manner
  • You’ve worked closely with in-house QA teams to resolve bugs and actively contribute to operations planning, retrospectives, and weekly campaign readiness
  • Developing automation scripts for end to end scenarios and maintaining the automation suites
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Selenium and Javascript (Node.JS) to automate testing
  • Calm under pressure and a proactive and self-starting attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and experience presenting to bigger teams and executives
  • Highly organized, disciplined and methodical when approaching testing with the ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast paced, start-up environment with the curiosity to develop ways to improve the UAT/QA process


The ideal person will bring experience in online services (SAAS), testing on mobile devices and is comfortable with documenting detailed test cases for software and hardware. Your primary focus will be to perform End to End Test activities, troubleshooting and analyzing issues working cross functionally to report defects for the engineering and development teams. This role requires a highly motivated quality professional who is detail oriented and passionate about growing Apple Services. - Experience working across groups including Engineering, Marketing, Legal and Product Management, working on campaigns and marketing journeys - Develop E2E testing scripts and/or test cases and documenting test plan statuses, providing feedback on features, investigating tasks/defects and running ad hoc testing - You have experience testing on-device experiences for the user - Ability to prioritize feature and campaign testing with a passion for documentation and on-time delivery of test cases - Comfortable providing the testing scope/overview documentation, test plan, test results and associated tickets for resolution/prioritization - Respond quickly to support tickets and explore ways to reproduce defects, update tickets and monitor the status so all information is current - Experience with design and build of automation frameworks for End to End testing across mobile, web and API based systems - You understand and have developed automation scripts to improve testing efficiencies (including associated reporting showing performance of script) - Participate in conceptualizing and implementing process improvement and quality improvement initiatives across the lifecycle

Education & Experience

BA/BS preferred, or equivalent work experience
