Apple's Manufacturing Systems and Infrastructure (MSI) team is responsible for capturing, consolidating and tracking all manufacturing data for Apple’s products and modules worldwide. We are a multi-functional team, tackling challenging software engineering problems across a broad range of Apple manufacturing services. We are a small, close-knit team that uses a Human-Centered Design approach, combined with Agile Methodologies, to get things done quickly and effectively. Apple's MSI is seeking a Full-stack developer who is passionate about frontend and well versed in one or more backend languages/technologies. Do you have a deep passion for helping internal partners visualize and use large, complex data sets that drive impactful decisions across all of Apple’s product lines. You'll be leading innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing full stack technologies for the platform.

Key Qualifications

  • Hands on frontend development experience with web apps using HTML, CSS, Javascript and other industry standard frameworks
  • Experience with React frontend framework, deep understanding of Angular, React.js, and Redux
  • Experience developing complex applications with SQL based database solutions (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, TimeScaleDB, etc.) at medium to large scale (>100 GB, 100 million rows)
  • Experience building a RESTful API with at least one backend language such as Python, Java, Go.
  • Experience using messaging queues (RabbitMQ, HiveMQ, Kafka, etc.) preferred
  • A strong desire to produce high quality software through test driven development, code reviews, building out solutions cradle to grave
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration in all stages of a product life cycle (prototype and production)
  • Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms
  • Demonstrable knowledge in code versioning tools and processes, testing frameworks, and CICD
  • Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial, Industry 4.0 experience or exposure is a plus
  • Experience interacting with industrial controllers like PLCs, Robot controllers, etc. is a plus
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, continues to ask questions and learn
  • Positive and able to adapt quickly to changes

YOU WILL: Architect and scale our existing Dashboards, Analytics tools, Data Pipelines, Application API’s and Databases Design and develop complex User Interfaces from the ground up using the latest web technologies. Build edge services to ingest data and/or interact with production line equipment like lasers, sensors, and other hardware Collaborate with a diverse team of Designers, Developers, and Engineers Communicate and present your work in a clear and simple manner Develop with diverse and evolving combinations of old and new, closed and open source technologies that best fit the problem at hand International and domestic travel up to 10-15% in a given year

Education & Experience
