The Hardware Methodologies Tools and Solutions (HMTS) team is committed to providing outstanding service and innovative solutions to Apple’s global R&D engineering teams. We are looking for a strong PM to join the team who excels at working cross functionally both within the HMTS team and broadly across the larger Hardware Engineering organization and with our key technology partners and strategic vendors. You will have extraordinary soft-skills who cultivate unquestioning business partnerships while being a confident organizer who can prioritize, follow up with users and supervise details across multiple teams, projects and geographies to enable detailed execution of project plans while also ensuring alignment with the broader strategic business plans and the HMTS program portfolio.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to craft & maintain program plans, project schedules and coordinate project activities as you drive critical achievements and project success
  • Experience managing, coordinating and maintaining a wide range of data and placing meaning to information
  • Expert level understanding of PM terms, practices and methodologies with real-world experience handling sophisticated project plans using PM tools & processes
  • Experience working through engineering development for a customer shippable product
  • Detail oriented accuracy
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Highly proficient in office tools (Word/Pages, Excel/Numbers, Keynote/PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of other project management tools such as Wrike, OmniPlan, and Jira
  • Unparalleled multi tasking abilities while working on different projects simultaneously
  • Top-notch critical thinking skill set with the ability to link strategic objectives to detailed project plans
  • Work practices allow you to scale and absorb work commensurate with increasing team size
  • Ability to clearly define and communicate project responsibilities to ensure alignment and coverage by all partners during project execution
  • Perform impact analysis on upstream & downstream systems, end-to-end user workflows, team processes and touch points with other major initiatives
  • Remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
  • Experience leading projects using Agile and Waterfall PM methodologies
  • PMP or equivalent work experience
  • Technical knowledge in Mechanical and/or Electrical CAD and/or Materials Engineering and the related workflow processes & applications
  • Knowledge of the PLM tool and the related processes and system integrations
  • Familiar with Tier-1 and Tier-2 support processes


• • Handle all aspects of assigned projects, including schedule, resources, budget and risks • Apply best-practice PM methodologies to improve project efficiency • Drive intelligent decision making by consolidating and validating data from multiple sources • Prioritize and lead highly effective meetings and facilitate productive discussions • Craft and present level-appropriate updates to senior staff • Conduct periodic Program Reviews with SME’s and key decision makers to keep all project efforts on track • Utilize your hardware engineering development process knowledge to provide innovative solutions to product engineering teams

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree and 5+ years of proven experience
