The position demands expertise in all aspects of embedded cellular firmware development.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing, developing and debugging Physical layer algorithms for embedded systems
  • Strong Software Engineering skills including design, programming (C/C++ & Python/Perl) and debugging
  • Experience with using lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, cellular test boxes among others) for test and debug is a plus
  • Good understanding of 5G and 4G 3GPP specifications, especially Physical Layer procedures
  • Good knowledge of communication theory and digital signal processing
  • Link or system simulation experience with Matlab or NS3 is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Obsessively passionate and inquisitive with a focus on solving everyday problems in innovative ways
  • Attention to the smallest details that are meaningful to customers


Candidate will lead/assist in design, development and debugging of Physical layer algorithms/procedures of wireless technologies while also assisting with Bring up, Power and Performance Tuning and Optimizations. The position involves identifying and/or developing core wireless technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. The position requires high level thinking to architect solutions along with excellent programming skills and the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and lead in a fast paced environment.

Education & Experience

Masters degree or PhD (preferred) in CS/EE or equivalent
