You are involved from the beginning as new products and services are invented inside of Apple Pay. Your team is leading the Apple Pay organization through the shift to a self-service partner onboarding mindset. To achieve true scale, your team identifies and articulates the platform strategy to onboard efficiently through many phases (business, legal, engineering, launch, operations, reliability, marketing and beyond). The team does this in a way that empowers our partners. Your team performs due diligence on external companies being considered for new product design partnerships, and is responsible for extending the reach of existing products through additional partnerships. It starts with product-agnostic due diligence. Whether transit, payments, access or something new, the team vets the quality and capabilities of potential technology and Fintech partners across categories such as infrastructure, reliability, people and process. From there, your team leads product-specific due diligence by aligning on product use cases and working through API specifications, MSDs, edge cases, error handling and retry scenarios, leaving no opportunity for ambiguity or misunderstandings between Apple and the companies during later stages of integration. At the end of due diligence, you will have a high degree of confidence that partners both understand and are capable of implementing at the level of quality required by Apple. The output is documented and knowledge is transferred to the rest of the organization and then takes the partners through integration, launch and ongoing.
