Key Qualifications

  • Requirements:
  • Experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch or Torch is a requirement
  • Excellent programming skills in Python
  • In depth understanding of Machine Learning principles
  • Knowledge of computer architecture: Assembly Language programming, Virtual Memory Tables, Cache Coherency Schemes, Cache Structures, SoC busses and agents
  • Technical Skills that are a plus:
  • Knowledge in / experience with supervised and unsupervised learning models
  • Clustering, Forests, Neural Networks
  • Soft Skills:
  • A scientific mindset and approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in working on larger scale projects with good software development principles
  • Willingness to pick up novel tasks and acquire novel skills


Work at the intersection of Machine Learning and SoC architecture. Apple's world class Silicon Engineering Group is looking for a talented ML engineer to model and analyze early Silicon performance data. Join this new effort in Silicon Engineering to apply Machine Learning techniques to the data available from Performance measurements in controlled Silicon Validation Software runs. This role is a Machine Learning and data analysis role for someone with an interest in expanding their knowledge of computer architecture, learning more about how an SoC performs. With this role comes an opportunity for visibility, presenting findings to teams throughout Apple's Silicon Engineering Group. In this role, you will have an impact improving both current and future Apple products as well as pioneering new ways to view our Silicon performance data.

Education & Experience

Masters or PhD in computer science or machine learning
