The Video Operations group, part of Apple Media Products, is seeking a Media Archivist to join the Archives, Systems and Master Data team. Our responsibilities include title and asset management, metadata curation, archival policy, system governance, technical workflow improvement, and distribution standardization. - You have a strong knowledge of archival master workflows and specifications.
- You have experience working with media collections, metadata curation, digital deliverables, and asset management systems.
- You are familiar with asset lifecycles, migration, and remastering
- You are knowledgeable in archival ethics and media preservation best practices
- You are comfortable translating archival/technical requirements to those unfamiliar
- You are highly organized and attentive to detail

-Manage the day-to-day scheduling, tracking, and verification of distribution and preservation asset types -Work with Post Production, creative teams or third-party clients/vendors on asset acquisitions and QC -Create purchases orders for archive and preservation services, reconcile invoices for final approval and payment -Process and catalog of asset metadata congruent with specifications and title version associations into inventory tracking systems -Oversee asset heath checks and audits to verify the integrity of all assets/element types -Contribute to preservation and archival requirements to support access and longevity goals for both owned and licensed content -Support change management related to updates to Asset Specifications -Analyze and ingest existing asset repositories/backlogs -Oversee asset servicing and data I/O requests for both file and physical based assets -Review and curate asset metadata in alignment with current asset taxonomy and standards -Design and generate reporting / metrics as necessary -Demonstrate working knowledge of digital archival principles, collection management, migration and preservation
Education & Experience
College education preferred, plus 5-7+ years’ experience in Library Sciences, Mastering, Archive, or Servicing Operations
