Join Apple and help us leave the world better than we found it! The AppleCare Digital Content team is looking for a production artist to take the lead on cross-channel visuals. In addition to working across teams on support site needs, you will assist the design team in the development of pixel-perfect digital files for how to, learning, and help content. You’ll partner with writers to improve content performance, always keeping customers front-of-mind. You’ll prioritize usability, inclusivity, and best-in-class global support experience.

Key Qualifications

  • Be hyper-focused on details and product accuracy and produce high resolution images.
  • Strong knowledge of Apple multimedia and productivity software
  • Experience establishing rapport and trading feedback with external and internal key partners
  • The ability to collaboratively problem solve, particularly in the development of new processes or additional partner needs
  • Experience managing complex design projects with many team members
  • Ability to create polished keynotes and vector images
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (including Smart Objects and image retouching), Illustrator, and other industry-standard creative tools
  • Thrive in a challenging, fast-paced web publishing environment
  • Savvy in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion
  • Solid understanding of user experience, responsive design, accessibility, and localization

Description

In this role, you will work as members of a team to create amazing visuals (screenshots, icons, hero images, photography, and info graphics) for KB content on the support site and in the Apple Support app. You will prep, stage, and maintain multiple products with content and assets that will be used to demonstrate the features and usage of hardware, software and services in the Apple ecosystem. We partner with the content team to optimize the appearance, format, and usability of support article and with other designers to set visual guidelines that follow Apple brand, typography, and graphic standards. We help improve the processes around how we create and review images, looking for opportunities to meaningfully partner on design workflows between teams. You will work with stakeholders to innovate and develop collaboration opportunities across channels and prepare images that look great across various platforms and are easy to localize.

Education & Experience

BA or BFA in web or graphic design, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • 3+ years of design experience, preferably with an agency, design firm, or corporate design team
  • Ability to build original designs based on wireframes/sketches as needed
  • Experience working with Adobe CQ5/Adobe Experience Manager or headless content management systems
