Apple is looking for a world-class Display Process Engineer to develop new panel processes and equipment for Apple products by closely working with external display partners and internal engineering teams. We work at a fast pace and require everyone to be highly self-motivated. A successful candidate needs to be a flexible thinker and be able to problem solve outside of their respective technical area.

Key Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with OLED, semiconductor, or thin film processes and/or equipment
  • Ability to perform process DOEs and failure analysis for process optimization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive attitude and team-working spirit
  • Willingness and ability for up to 25% travel in Asia


- Work closely with cross functional teams in California and external display partners in Asia to develop, bring-up and qualify OLED processes / equipment for new products - Lead evaluations and development of new equipment and technologies - Identify root cause for failure modes with structured approach and provide corrective actions or Design of Experiments (DOE) to internal teams and external partners - Collaborate with internal and external partners in process improvement and yield enhancement

Education & Experience

PhD degree in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Material, Optics Engineering or MS degree in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Material, Optics Engineering with 2+ years experience

Additional Requirements

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Mass production experience with OLED or semiconductor processes and equipment
  • - Experience with modeling and/or simulation
  • - Experience with thin film metrology inspection
  • - Experience with big data analysis to support mass production process analysis
