Apple's Strategic Data Solutions team is seeking an experienced project manager to support data scientists as we fight fraud and improve operations. Do you enjoy understanding the big picture and diving into technical details? Does regularly adapting your communication styles to partner better on business perspectives, engineering pipelines and fraud logic sound fun? This role provides an opportunity to exercise interpersonal, organizational, technical, analytical and leadership skills. In this role, you will help create and drive strategic roadmaps and coordinate quick tactical responses. Our aim is to address financial fraud without sacrificing customer experience. Given the adversarial nature of fraud, we are constantly challenged to innovate together, drawing from diverse perspectives as we design and build new solutions. You will acquire a deep understanding of Apple’s Privacy commitments, our products and systems so that you can support and influence that innovation. Key Qualifications

  • Experience organizing and leading cross-functional technical projects (clarifying requirements, resolving conflicts, defining roadmap, driving progress)
  • Demonstrable ability to think broadly about business, customer and system impact
  • Ability to learn and provide in-depth evaluations of complex engineering and analytic issues
  • Demonstrable understanding of complex, enterprise scale systems
  • Skilled at using data to present, advocate for and prioritize among solutions
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
  • Experience motivating and empowering others to do their best work
  • Previous experience with engineering, data analysis, machine learning or fraud detection/response would be beneficial, but is not required
  • Excellent Interpersonal & collaboration skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects successfully

•Support our operations, managing business critical projects through our privacy organization •Get into the details on analytical projects and critical metrics •Help EPMs and data scientists prioritize work in alignment with urgent operational responses as well as long-term roadmap vision to balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline and risk •Build partnerships with key business and engineering leaders across multiple teams •Continually identify and drive opportunities for process improvement •Guides brainstorming and innovation •Drives intra- and cross-team projects from inception through release and monitoring •Keeps partners informed •Drive the project towards defined landmarks with reviews and acceptance/approval criteria •Ensure tight inter-team coordination/communication and end-end clarity •Work under limited supervision, use good judgment and know when to seek guidance

Education & Experience

•Bachelor's degree in any analytical, quantitative or technical field (engineering, math, computer science, finance or similar), or equivalent experience
