This is a global role that requires you to work closely with many groups, including editorial, analytics, marketing, BD, product, engineering and finance. The most qualified candidates will be highly-motivated and adaptive self-staters who can collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams to meet business objectives. A deep understanding of subscription businesses and a facility with data and modeling are a must. This position is located in Cupertino, CA.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant industry work experience with a good understanding of digital publishing and subscription business
  • Self-starter who works effectively in a fast-paced environment; is comfortable managing ambiguity while delivering results with minimal guidance
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to quickly translate data into actionable insights
  • Laser focus on the business goals and the end consumer
  • Comfort working closely with analytics teams
  • Strong project management capability with attention to detail
  • Energetic and collaborative team player with exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about news, media and consumer technology
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate a strong point of view clearly and succinctly

Description

Supporting the business growth manager with: NEWS+ BUSINESS GROWTH: Work cross functionally to leverage external and internal analyses to determine where optimizations are possible and evaluate new opportunities around: - New audiences growth - New offer testing - Internal and External partnerships - Channels growth and optimization - Customer lifecycle communications - Subscribers' benefits only offers BUSINESS REPORTING AND ANALYTICS: - Daily & weekly performance reporting - Monthly forecast - Budget planning - Acquisition touch points performance vs goals - In collaboration with the various analytics teams, report on drivers of variances from projections on trial acquisition as well as back end KPIs - Ad-hoc modeling of new opportunities - Liaise between different teams to ensure projects are on track - In collaboration with Finance, determine the viability of some acquisition channels, new opportunities (content and deals)
