We are looking for a motivated, technical, and hard-working Quality Engineer to test and validate haptic firmware, software, and algorithms in next-generation Apple products including iPhone, Watch, Mac, and beyond. Quality Engineers at Apple play a direct role in upholding our standard for having the highest quality products in the world. Work collaboratively with developers and other industry leading haptic experts in a fast-paced, diverse team that never compromises when it comes to delivering a world class experience to millions of customers around the world.
Key Qualifications
- 1+ years of QE experience
- Strong knowledge of validation strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and proven skill in bug hunting and regression testing
- Experience using hardware debugging tools – Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, DAQs
- Experience with test automation using Python, Bash, Swift, or other scripting languages
- Experience with and knowledge of embedded software/firmware architecture
- Experience with signal processing and data analysis in Matlab or other numerical computing
- environments
- Experience developing and deploying test automation tools and frameworks
Description
Responsibilities include:
Owning the quality of haptics firmware, software, and algorithms in embedded applications
Hunting down bugs, clearly detailing issues, and tenaciously driving them to resolution
Developing and executing intelligent automated and manual test cases
Working multi-functionally to drive quality and communicate results
Writing comprehensive test guidelines from engineering specifications and data sheets
Provide subjective feedback on a variety of user-facing experiences
Building and utilizing innovative testing methodologies, including using external fixtures
Using diagnostic software and hardware to isolate and debug sophisticated issues
Developing automation frameworks and tools to get along with devices under test
Analyzing field data to help advise future feature design
Testing the full SW, FW, HW stack to drive the best possible customer experience
Education & Experience
BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
