Apple's Technology Development Group (TDG) data team is responsible for managing data and ML infrastructure that empowers cutting edge computer vision ML at Apple. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging infrastructure problems, in the design and development of data/ML platform and pipelines at scale. We are looking for a driven Full Stack Engineer who enjoys the design and development of such software solutions. As a member of a fast-paced team, you will be collaborating with multiple teams, including ML scientists, to ensure the development and delivery of effective solutions. As a Full Stack Engineer your job responsibilities will include: - Design, develop and maintain software services required for efficient data management - Participate in design reviews with peers and collaborators to ensure correct solution is picked - Review code with peers to provide and get feedback on implemented solution - Triage issues and provide debugging and tracking support to resolve them - Contribute to API documentation where necessary - Coordinate and work closely with team members and other engineering teams - Implement ETL pipelines when necessary

Key Qualifications

  • To succeed within this role, you should have shown experience in several of the following areas:
  • - 3+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • - Experience designing, developing and maintaining software services or solutions
  • - Strong Object Oriented Programming skills and proficiency in Python or Java
  • - Experience with microservice architecture & developing APIs / RESTful services
  • - Experience with building solutions in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • - Experience with relational and any NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.)
  • - Familiarity with full stack development, and expertise in Web development frameworks like Django or others
  • - Bonus for experience with distributed systems (Spark, Presto, etc.)
  • - Able to quickly learn new and existing technologies
  • - Bonus for UI/UX development experience
  • - Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • - Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills

The solutions will typically work on data management problems of volume, variety and velocity. You can work independently to achieve set goals, and guide others technically. Education & Experience

B.S., or M.S., and/or 3+ years of industry experience in software development field.
