Would you like to join Apple’s growing wireless silicon development team? Our wireless SOC organization is responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development with a particular emphasis on highly energy efficient / low power design and new technologies that transform the user experience at the product level, all of which is driven by a world-class vertically integrated engineering team spanning RF/Analog architecture and design, Systems/PHY/MAC/Power architecture and design, VLSI/RTL design and integration, Emulation, Design Verification, Test and Validation, Power modeling / correlation and FW/SW engineering. In this highly visible role, you will be at the center of a silicon design group with a critical impact on getting functional products to hundreds of millions of customers quickly. Key Qualifications

  • Pre-silicon power modeling, analysis and power reduction experience. Proficient in PTPX, Power Artist or other power analysis tools. Full chip experience is a plus
  • Post-silicon power correlation experience. Full chip experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of Low Power ASIC logic design and UPF; Actual design experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of ASIC physical design, timing closure; Actual implementation experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl or Python).
  • System architecture knowledge is a bonus
  • Basic knowledge on wireless protocols, e.g., WiFi, BT
  • Basic knowledge on common SOC components, e.g., CPU, fabric, peripherals and PCIe
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Description

In this role, you are going to work on power modeling, analysis and correlation tasks for wireless communication SoCs, including: - Define chip power specification - Define and generate power vectors with DV support - Generate pre-silicon power estimations - Analyze and identify power reduction - Build power model for key use cases - Post-silicon power correlation

Education & Experience

BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
